Sinister: my self-absorbed fretting and puling always come to an abrupt end with some surprise gift
<color><param>0100,0100,0100</param>I got a letter in the post today, which i wasn't really expecting...I've been moaning for, oh, a long time, about never getting any post. Yet today, thourough my letter box came a wee card ( i didn't know that until i opened it but...), with a glaswegian postmark. Inside the card was a little note from my brother - Happy Birthday! I know its early but I thought You'd enjoy them! Take a friend and you can stay at mine! - quite a bizare note, a riddle of almost gandalfian proportians. Upon further examination, I found two tickets for Sigur Ros at the Barrowlands in Febuary, in the envelope. So my moaning about not getting post came to an end...but now i have to consider who to take with me. No one i know likes sigur ros...I feel like I should introduce someone to them, but then, what if they dont like it? will I feel I have wasted a ticket on them? I don't know, but I'm sure I'll sort it out... Yesterday was a strange day...I wandered around Dundee, with the vague hope of finding a flat for this next year. The people I might share with are begining to annoy me with ther anxiousness - which is making me think I don't want to share with them. Which means I not only need a flat but also a flatmate :~) still...i'm sure it'll get sorted out...but i ended up in McManus (sp?) Galleries, after a light liquid lunch with my friend Donna. Theres an exibition of beatles photographs and we (stumbled) up the stairs to look at some really old instruments. There was even a wee activities table, where you could make a woodwind make a noise by pressing the bellows, and play two fiddle strings...it was good until we stepped outside again to find the rain had begun again...then I went out last night and won some champagne by subjecting myself to the horrors of the human roulette at Mardi's (Taysides BIGGEST night club...) But to the (possibly) point of the e-mail...are there any other sinisters in dundee? and if so how about a pic/pub-nic? or something similar...I don't know but still...send me an e-mail or somthing... anyway, am off to play frisbee...the joys :) jenyx When your down there don't feel down and out you have something you can smile about <nofill> +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail sinister@missprint.org.
