there was a story (was it brautigan.. ) about a beautiful girl, a model, who used to ride her horse bare-back, her naked, -so both of them were naked I s'pose- until she came, and she'd experience *la petit mort*, faint and fall off but so relaxed that she was never hurt, get up, get back on, do it again.. It is a beautiful idea and a beautiful story and it would not surprise me in the least if it was grounded in a grain of truth.
