hello all leel kittens, I just wanted to tell you all aboutthe flim I made in New York over the summer. It isn't finished yet and given the current cost of postproduction it might never be, but here goes.. It is called Thirsty and is a journey from North to South in Williamsburg and manhattan looking for a cigarette and a nice cold ice cold glassa waterr. there is only one character in it, played by a lovely and androgynous friend who is called Pingel (sounds like...Pingu) and that character is called Photo Jenny. She doesn't speak and is only in two scenes. She has blond hair and wears a grey t-shirt with a border drawn on round the neck and sleeves in black marker pen. She stands in the middle of the street looking unsure whether or notto look straight at you, but finds the courage when she's looking down a paper telescope, then she puts it down and stares and a grin flashes across her face like a kid who has had a mind-expanding shock and mightlaughmightcry. Then finally she turns round really fast, dropping the telescope and runs away towards the Williamsburg bridge as fast as she can, tripping over her long blue skirt as she flees. Later we see her in the evening, on the fireescape sipping a glass of water and grinning. The film is just a load of sunny mood-capaturing location shots really. I wondered if anyone else had been inspired by b+s in a similar way? Or what do you think Photo Jenny looks like? anyone know when the next bluesoda is (sorry for being too lazy to look it up on the site.) Seb shall we go this time?
