I might be a bit late with this news as I'm only getting the (huge) digest version, but it would appear that Polar Bear are now known as Snow Patrol. Obviously keen on arctic imagery! Apologies if this has already been posted.... Yep, Mark made this point to me privately - the first digest *was* huge. Traffic on the list has died down a little after the first rush, and my feeling is that a digest any more frequently than once a day would annoy some people - but I'm happy to do whatever people think. So if people on the digest would like to let me know how often they would like it to be produced - I can limit this by days or by size. I'll do whatever the majority of digest people ask for, but please only digest subscribers vote - and directly to me rather than cluttering up the list! On the subject of Edinburough (sic) and stephen.b - your list administrator lives there and likes it normally except during August when it fills up with Oxbridge students pretending to be trees - but he's not the sulky type. I've had lots more comments on the subject of "relevancy" of the list - thanks for your feedback. Things have got a bit quieter now and a bit more sensible apart from the "pig" mailing (thanks for that it was a gift to my cause! - if anyone wants *more* of that type of mail let me know?!). The majority view is still to try to stick to B&S related stuff, with some very strong (and amusing) feelings from some in that direction, but there *are* people who disagree and want a wider spread of views. I think things look sensible now, but I will continue to reflect the majority view of people who mail me privately about it - I promise. Oh and I'll put Alan's chords on the WWW page when I get a minute. Enough for now. Paul email: sinister-owner@ph.ed.ac.uk ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
