I kind of have a soft spot for Bis myself, even if the album wasn't much cop. Some of the singles were fine P!O!P! tunes. And I quite liked their version of "The Boy.." - it certain wasn't the worst thing on that album. I change my mind on Arab Strap every time I listen. I think your man is a bit of a scumbag, and yet I'm often intrigued for some reason. Morrissey v Marr - I think that they've both lost it in recent times. Southpaw Grammar was a completely godawful album, and I kind of gave up on him, while the second Electronic album was pretty poor stuff at times too. I agree that Marr probably doesn't get his share of the credit for the Smiths stuff too, it's not just the wry and intelligent lyrics that I listen to them for at any rate. I've often thought the same as Keith about Prince - he does stick out the odd fine tune, but there must be 5 or 6 duffers for every good one. Does this make him a genius? Not sure.
