Hello folks, Someone mentioned gnocchi, which is a wonderful cross between pasta and potatoes, is a fine alternative to pasta in many a cheese laden recipe, and also sounds a bit rude. Well, it does to me with my smutty mind anyway. Talking of smut someone asked about Sid James. This came up on the Tindersticks mailing list about six months ago, and it took me several weeks to come to terms with the concept that there are people around the world who have lived their entire lives without ever seeing a Carry On film. This is pretty unthinkable in the UK where scarcely a week goes by without one of them being dredged up to fill the TV schedules. Basically Sid James was a South African hairdresser with a face like a prune and the dirtiest laugh in the history of the world. He moved to England and starred in a load of tacky, camp, low-budget, poor-taste comedies. These were the Carry On films. Sid James dedicated his life to the pursuit of busty blondes, both on and off screen, so if he talks to you like God then I have nothing but respect for you. Not Piccadilly Records! How could they? I bought IYFS there in 1996. Twice. And now I suppose David will have to go round there with a big stick and beat them up for selling dodgy Tigermilk CDs. Fools! Like Carmen, Fluffy, Sister Disco, and probably everyone else here, I am fond of several types of music. In my case this is largely due to the cross-genre nature of smut. Can anyone recommend any particularly rude musician types that I might like? Mail me directly, as not everyone on the list has my high smut threshold. I for one was very sorry to hear about Fluffy's accident. I wonder if the knee injury in some way reduced her ability to encourage people to vote for her. It would appear so. I make no apologies for the smut content in this message, smut has a bona fide connection to Belle and Sebastian now that they have appeared in the News of the World.
