Has anyone in the US heard of a band called 'The 3'o clock'? Apparently, they were a huge influence on the fledgling Roses...
The Three O'Clock were fairly popular exponents of the American Paisley Underground in the early Eighties ... the _Baroque Hoedown_ debut 12" from 1982 is a classic masterpiece, the _Sixteen Tambourines_ album from 1983 is highly recommended as well and may have been quite influential on other excellent Eighties bands such as Fantastic Something ... both records are compiled on the _Sixteen Tambourines_ CD reissue. Besides, I've just obtained a letter from friends in London telling me that XFM plays tunes such as "If she doesn't smile (it'll rain)" by Fantastic Something ... lucky people.
