one of the music papers has arab strap down as support for the saturday christmas gig? is this a new development (seeing as katrina said (a couple of weeks ago) that there was no support band on the saturday)? oh, i had another b&s dream the other night and it reminded me that i haven't told you the first one yet. here goes: a swimming pool, indoor, the audience crammed around three sides of it, band playing at one of the shorter ends. bongo drums instead of the usual percussion, girls in grass skirts doing a little hula dance. then stuart murdoch gets carried to the stage on the shoulders of tall blokes wading through the water. um, that's all. the second one's only really a snippet. it's in a usual venue and all and they do the old two sets thing and during the break i pop out of the main room. when i come back i find the front of the stage festooned with fruit and veg which the band are selling. what does it all mean? yeah, it's probably a sex thing, they usually are... there was another b&s mention on teletext this morning, someone's best of the year thing... oh, and someone was asking about the new trembling blue stars single. it was out in england on monday (mine's in the post, hopefully) but parasol has already sent out copies to americans who had it ordered. lp is due on the 17th(?) of january. there's an advert in the music papers this week for it. andy dreaming dreaming dreaming dreaming baby... ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
