stupid subject AGAIN! sorry for the tape tree... ..................................... hello !and how's life in da villagio?oh my....(i went for a quick wee wee and i run up the stairs and,well,when you've been smoking heavily for about 3 years,well,you know...) anyway.today i got up in the morning and decided to wear my bus t-shirt.so i went to class-intro to media studies if you MUST know-and we talked about our friend marx and his nice ol'theories.i think this wasn't pure coincidence-or is this a no-no area? apart from dat i've been seeing quite a few new names floating around in da villagio and it is so merry a thing!WELCOME my little siblings-my oh my... so,since i'm jealous because i'd like to be new again-and since i never did say my B&S experience numero uno,i shall be doing yer headz in.........NOW! right.about 3years ago(early '97)there used to be in athens,grecia this really really brilliant and absolutely gorgeous radio station called 'rodon (which means rose) 94.4FM'(R.I.P.).it was a totally independent radio station and all the best DJs of athens had shows there.one of them-whom i had the pleasure to meet after some time(a little show off every now and again hasn't harmed anyone,has it?)-is still one of the best in athens-he plays in this club.oohhhhh,the best nights of my life in there...oh,the memories...anyway,as i was saying one day he played dog on wheels.it just hit me!it was 5pm in the afternoon,quite warm for autumn and i was on my own;i had just eaten lunch and i was relaxing in my living room and this beautiful sound just filled my ears....i'll never forget that.that day he didn't say which band was that.i was guttered.so everyday i waited for him to play the song again.then one day he was talking about this new scottish band and how great they are and about tigermilk and everything but i couldn't understand the name because the bastard was mumbling horribly.it took me quite a while to understand that he was saying BELLE&SEBASTIAN!!!!!!that was it.my hunt began.i bought sinister.then one day i found a 7" vinyl of lazy-line painter jane.then i bought TWTAS.Then one night i saw on MTV's alternative nation the video of TIJAMRS.it was the first time i heard it and i wanted it!for the next month i went everyday to this rec shop in athens and nearly physically abused them until they got me a copy.and the most marvellous thing happened when i found all three of the first eps together just laying there waiting for someone -ME-to get them.i did!and when i came to england i bought tigermilk.so there you go.that is my little B&S story.i shall be harrasing you with more details in the future-maybe. the highlight of the weekend was that i bought a mobile and now i've re-established my connection with the world-it's hard living in halls and both of the phones not to be working.my phone is bright orange and it plays a tune called..ping pong....ridiculous....i've been trying to think for a name to call it.any suggestions?oh,yer,and my greeting instead of 'welcome to orange'reads 'hello gorgeous!'. you know,since no one in real life calls me like that-or anything near that-i decided that everytime i switch on my phone i will boost up my confidence.....i think i am extremely and dangerously pathetic.... anyway,i have to go because i have to go to the doctor.i'm dying you know.... bye bye babies.....
