Hey, did you pop into Books etc.? It's cool, but understaffed and understocked in vital areas. Anyways, point is did ya spot a v.tall guy serving peeps with G.Coxon-ish glasses and a black shirt/tie affair. If so it was me. Anyone else popping in there for last min. Xmas shopping trips should say hi, look for Simon. It'll be me and I'm dead friendly (esp. to fans of the koolest band round at the mo/last year and a half...) Also a big hi to all the luvly folks who found their way down to the John Snow for my poppermost quiz. A good laff had by all, loads of crap prizes! Oh, and if the girls/boys who won the last place/bag of crap could mail us, please tell us what you thought of the deal you got! Has the bluetones T-shirt lost that "smell", or is it now a dishcloth? There'll be another one in early Feb, I'll let you all know. Some things: a) anyone read/bought/stolen the new Nick Drake biog? Anygood, it sells damn well (which is surprising for a realtively obscure folky boy book costing 20 quid, but v.v. cool that it does) b) this is prob and old thing, but anyone noticed the Mary Joe/ A winter's Tale connection? It's always on at work at the moment. They're saying they may let me play the Sinister CD after Xmas. Yip. c) Manchester - I heard about a club that someone is gonna do after the Sat gig. Sounded very cool, it may be on the web but I can't check it for now. If not does anyone know anything. My Manc mates reckon there are no good indie type clubs there that night.
