Sinister: 'The King' is scratching the sofa again!
Hey people. While lounging around on this hot and clammy thursday evening, happily listening to the excellent 'Lazy Line Painter Jane' EP, it occurred to me that the track 'Century Of Elvis' could well be written about... a cat! Before you all throw up your hands and shout "Oh... tish!" in unison, give me a chance to explain. Even though Mr Presley himself had no known connection with any feline through his pill popping and hamburger munchin' career, it is intirely possible that he could have been re-incarnated as a moggy in up in high bonny Scotland! The lyrics contain the such references to this as Elvis "Thinking about getting in the postman's van..." or "Licking the pavement..." and "Waiting to be let in...". Even "Playing with is collar a bit..." is plausable. Anyway... has anyone else got any 'famous people back as household pets' theories? PS. Linda should call the fish 'Labella'. Not only is it Italian for 'the beautiful' but it's also the name of my current recording project, so it'll be a dedication if nothing else! An unhinged newbie to the list. -Paul- Stanleyboy@aol.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . This message was brought to you by the Sinister mailing list. .
