Tag, I apologise at the beginning of every post because I have put my dainty size 8 and a halfs in the proverbial "it" in pretty much every post I've sent since the middle ages. I shall do my utmost not to have anything to feel ashamed of in this post, I promise. Funny that Senor Murtagh should ask about JD Salinger - if he wants to know where he lives, he should write to that nice Stuart Murdoch fellow - I'm sure you can get him via his mum - who claimed to have seen the elusive one in New York before the November shows. I think he's a little fibber, and I suggest an extra portion of greens (I was delighted to see that in supermarkets you can actually buy a product called "greens" - simple things please thick bastards, etc.) and a slap on the ankle when he gets in from school tonight if he's not telling the truth. I'm upset today as it's raining heavily but also really cold, and you can just tell that if it were 2 or 3 degrees colder there'd be lovely big snowflakes in abundance, cascading down outside the window . But there aren't. It's horrible. Last night I could hear our family of foxes crying at each other at the end of the garden. It could have been particularly vocal squirrels, who I have discovered can bark much more loudly than I'd imagine, but the weird, disturbing banshee sounds were a little too sinister to feel all warm and natury about the suburban menagerie outside the window. perhaps they'll be happier when it snows too. That'll do.
