I have also been blessed enough to get a copy of Camera Obscura's BBHF. I've been totally blown away by it, best thing since sliced B&S. I never thought anyone else’s voice would affect me as much as the fragrant Ms Campbells. I'm afraid I have to disagree with Robin's email. Lego is nothing when compared to fuzzy felt. Lego gives us well established boundaries to our imagination, but real dreamers use fuzzy felt (with scissors if anarchy is your bag)! Anyway, it's 8:30 on a Friday night and I am at work. Due to my mental survival instinct kicking in around 5:30 I have been trying to amuse myself for the last 3 hours on the internet. I've invented a new game. It's loosely based on the Kevin Bacon game but for B&S. If you go to allmusic.com, they have allocated for each band their own related artists. So I start from some arbitrary band (usually cringingly bad) and see how few jumps I can make to get back to B&S. I know, not much of a game but then I am extremely bored. I just got from Bon Jovi to B&S in 9 jumps. Bon Jovi - Cinderella - Guns N' Roses - The Red Hot Chili Peppers - blink-182 - Green Day - Supergrass - Gene - The Divine Comedy - B&S. Of course a lot of these jumps are extremely tenuous, but that's the fun. Well if you stretch the word fun to mean less boring than work. Maybe B&S can do a cover of one song from each of these bands in their next gig. Then again maybe they want to keep some fans. I couldn't think of any new words myself so I have stolen 2 that I liked from an online children’s dictionary. womble - to wander around in a sleeping bag at night, and buzzle - to look funny but nice. 15 days until the sinister Brighton meetup! can we get half of us to come dressed as mods, and half dressed as bikers? and can I be intimate with Leslie ash in an alleyway? please. I'm off to buzzle up my hair in case the pretty cleaning lady comes round the office again.
