Sinister: easing the burden of modern life vs. bizarre coincidence
my bus transfer on the way home stops just a block from rhino records, where i went afterwork today to pick up the new ep. i slid it into my cd player at the counter then headed off to catch my bus. a cigarette, cool air, a bus stop and a new single. isn't this the way b+s are meant to be enjoyed? life is nearly unbearable most of the time, but for twenty minutes and one second today, things looked pretty good. there was a sign rising up over the boulevard that read: "Life is full of responsibilities, there are vehicles for these times." vehicles indeed... the ride home was lovely and bizarre as usual. ranting homeless, pretty boys and girls in tennis shoes and coats, even a few daft smiles i couldn't place. to top it all off (no one if going to believe me, but i will tell this anyway) i get home and checked my messages to find a wrong number from a man named 'sebastian' looking for an electrician. the world, my friends, is strange... but sometimes kind of wonderful. -kelly ryan mcguire +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
