Sinister: Re: knitting challenges, enid blyton, owls and B&S
Hello all and sundry! Last night I was in my attic, and all of a sudden, a bag fell on me. "What can this be?" I thought as I sat rubbing my head. I opened the bag, and out popped, not a mad creature, or even a poetry parrot, but, to my surprise, the entire St. Clares series by Enid Blyton. "Hello they said, you haven't read us since you were six, please read us." And the littlest one was crying, so I said, "All right, all right." and promised I'd read them all. And to my delight, they were all very nice. So tonight I might go up to the attic and see if anything else falls on me. Does anyone watch the "Famous Five" programmes on ITV? Apparently I look like George. I should never have got my hair cut. I've accepted Archel's challenge to knit. Yay! An incentive to finish it! I bought a fluffy cuddly toy owl. It has little red earmuffs and a tartan scarf. It's very nice to snuggle in bed with. Yesterday, in English, we had to deliver a talk, with only five minutes to prepare. So I got up and mumbled something about how amazing B&S were, and how the lyrics were dead profound, and got a real slagging afterwards. Still, I got a 1, so maybe my english teacher is a closet B&S fan. Also, I think the world would be a much nicer place if everyone owned at least one belle and sebastian or even gentle waves record, and played it twice daily.
