my school librarian liked them, but perhaps that is because she is from minnestoa and likes such things. matt (i've no idea why i bothered replying to this) << Tommy Stinson played bass (I believe) for the Replacements, and last I heard, had his own band called Perfect, and all I've ever heard by them was a cover of Crocodile Rock (really fun listening). His previous band, Bash & Pop, put out a great album called Friday Night Is Killing Me, and it had that one single you might remember called Loose Ends??? (Time to tie your loose ends up (tie 'em up).....)???? Good alcohol rock. This, by the way, ties in with another vein of this mailing list: '80's music.
