Hi (nearly) Easter Bunnies, Aaaaww, TweeHouse: Went to the Improv Theatre Thursday evening to see the Looper Son et Lumiere experience. Music really good, pictures very clever, between songs jokes by Stephen Hawkinge OK. Audience behavoiur a bit strange, most of them spending the evening cross-legged on the floor looking like students listening to music whilst watching TV with the sound turned off. Shades of Shepherds Bush as well, as there was even a bit of shushing! Hope Camber Sads isn't going to be too reverential :)Does anybody know the name of the new one about Stuart dreaming that he had written a hit song for Elvis (who else!) until his missus hits him on the head with a rolled up newspaper? We didn't get to speak to Doctor David & Mr Pish figure Stuart David, so don't feel too bad about it Genevieve. Actually I don't think you'll get much of a look in with your Scots fantasy figure anyway, seeing as the only time he lifted his head up all night was to turn it round to sing the whole of "Quiet & Small" looking lovingly at Wee Karn sat at the side of the stage. Bowlie Balls: Don't know when B&S are playing at Camber, but did manage to glean from David & Katrina that the events kick off at 7pm on Friday night with V-Twin, followed by The Delgados. That Subject? You lot went on about David Gilmour so much recently I've been re-living my childhood listening to Meddle & Atom Heart Mother. I'll have to dust off Umma Gumma next.
