um, don't know if anyone knows this but it's a book (andy makes relevant gestures with his hands) about a scottish band and their rise and fall and it was rather good although the musical style was too proggy for my taste. anyway, it's now a radio play (um, andy doesn't know the hand gestures for radio play) in 4 parts and, well, i've missed the first part but the rest of them are on radio 4 on thursday nights. d. weir is played by john gordon sinclair (gregory's girl) (iain himself is as scottish as scottish can be and v. friendly given the twice i've spoken to him) and vocals are by monica queen. there, a B&S link... am just about to start on typing the gig reports in today's papers. i'll start on the nme one and post it when i've done. if anyone wants to do the (better) mm one then feel free... i'll post them here and then put them on the web page along with the pictures that are currently on paul's page. but i'll leave it a week or so so as to not piss the music papers off... andy ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
