i just heard belle and sebastian on the radio for the first time in the U.S. i know this is old hat for you U.K. lot, but honestly, i *never* expected to hear them in the good old united states. they played "is it wicked...?" and the best part about it was that they didn't talk over the end of the song the way they usually do here. after they played the song, they announced the concert at the trocadero (in philadelphia), and said something stupid about it like "the smile event of the season" or something. for any philly listees, the station was WXPN. in other news, my friend julie and i have planned a philadelphia b&s pre-show party about which i have posted info on the jeepster meet-up news section thingie that mr. kitchen recently added. anyone interested should check there for directions/contact info. -matthew +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
