hello there, my name's rob, although I've been subscribing to the list for a coupla weeks now this is the first time I've actually sent something. The other day I happened upon a really great 24 track CD compilation of loads of Twee bands, the names of which I cannot recall, and it wouldn't matter if I listed them 'cause they're all really obscure ('though I can remember The Duglessettes, white town, and fluf, fluff, fluff, fluff, fluff and cuddle). anyway, 24 tracks at the bargain price of 1.99 courtesy of my local SCOPE charity shop. (y'know they used to be called the spastics society but that weren't cool so they changed the name, so kids now call each other scopes instead of spastics, so I've been told by my mate's younger brother) I also found some old Creation compilations, loads of pastels, felt, house of love and similarly twee indie goin's on. Methinks I'm goin' crazy, how much twee can one person take, I mean at the moment its all I listen to. Maybe I'll have some kind of adverse reaction and suddenly start liking korn, marilyn manson, deftones, coal chamber, metallica, etc, etc... just like one of my mates did, he used to be a big B&S fan but somehow almost overnight turned into a greaser, taking all his fey indiennonsense to mistersecond hand record shop and trading it in for something with a bit more kkkkkrunch.
