Sinister: jeepsternews: Christmas seems to come earlier every year. (fwd)
Heyho lovers, Two things: please find below the Jeepster Nudeslines from Jeepster Nudes: stuff about the Xmas LP and the new Gentle Waves gejibberies. In case you haven't seen this. Secondly some ringtones for your phones. Obviously I didn't write these myself, and even more obviously not while on a holiday in Paris, because that'd be a really sad thing to do in one of the world's most beautiful capitals wouldn't it? So obviously not. These are for Nokia's, um, I'm told: family tree +c+c+c+d+Ca#a+c+c+c+d+Ca+c#aagfGga#aagfGa#a+c+c+c+d+Ca#a+c+c+c+d+Ca+c#aagfGga#a+d+g+f+f+e+d+c+D the model aa#aaGF+f+f+f+f+E+E+d+d+c+c#ap#a#aa#a+c#aAGffggA+f+f+e+f+g+f+E+D+c+c+d+d+E+C+d+d+d+d+E+F+E+D+C As the fragrant David Moore has pointed out, *someone* also wrote one for Ericsson's, it's in the archives, so don't feel left out. These have come via a tortuous route and may be garbled. Probably easier to send me your mobile phone number and I'll zap them to you. Get *them* to zap them to you, sorry. All I ask in return for the 12p is a smutty text message back to make my toes curl. And if you're within hearing range of a member of the band, and your embarrassed fumbling explanations that it's "ironic" fail to impress, and you try and blame it on me, then I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about. Oh I may not be able to send text messages to some US phones, because electrons are sometimes like that. Jeepster Headlines http://www.jeepster.co.uk/christmas/ It's a cool, cool Christmas Every year there's a record that seems to catch the moment, sum up the season, set the mood in motion. This year is no exception, whether you've been chilling to Grandaddy, getting down to The Dandy Warhols or slumbering in the wonder of Belle and Sebastian there is now a record that brings together all of these incredible artists for a good cause and a break from the usual Christmas albums that drive you nutty. Thanks to the efforts of XFM and Jeepster Recordings Ltd, we are very proud to be bringing you "It's A Cool Cool Christmas", a charity album with a difference. Not here will you find Cliff Richards, Mariah Carey, Band Aid and the over played tunes of years ago, now there's a Christmas album that bangs its drums to your beat. And to make it more worthwhile, EVERY PENNY IN PROFIT is being donated to The Big Issue Foundation. The bands have all donated the songs, and we, the record label, are donating all profits. XFM have been integral in bringing this all together and they are giving up time to promote it. Check out the artists who've contributed, the tracks they've recorded and then bear in mind the reason for this record. Once you've done all that, buy the record and start to get into the Christmas cheer! The title song on this EP is taken from the forthcoming long- player "Swansong For You". Its dark, baroque atmosphere plays host to harpsichord, cello and violins, whilst philosophising on the potential disaster that comes from living with the world's most perennial four letter word. 'Going Home', 'October's Sky' and 'Hold Back A Thousand Hours' were recorded with Domino maverick Bill Wells at East Kilbride Arts Centre in the late spring. (It was definitely springtime, as the studio has been lauded for its large Victorian windows).
