Life? Ended up at the good old bull & gate in kentish town on saturday night - some things never change, well the faces may change but the haircuts and smells, and drunks, do not. Best moment was someone shouting "be more scottish, be more scottish!" at the, indeed, scottish fallisms of the male nurse. And the first band did the delitefully cute thing of dishing out their homemade(?) cd's and 7inches to everyone in the audience, witch is always quite endering, even if the things will never actually get played. My first taste of b & s, if anyones interested (probably not, but then, i've read less interesting things in my time), was dog on wheels, which i brought on 7 inch out of interest, went back home and thought was "alright, nothing special", the b - side, the state that i am in, then continued to lodge itself so far into the brain that you reach a point of love or hate i suppose. Talking about the lemonheads, i still think Its a shame about ray is okay, quite nice. The rest of their stuff was pretty nasty, but that whole album was okay. But i agree that he is a bit of a twat. Naturally. Weird to think that when he had hair he was universally adored by many, though when it went, he wasn't. Even appeared on the nme as a girl, with bjork as a bloke if i remember correctly, such was his cred, a forerunner for role of "male star mate of bjork" before tricky and goldie got a look in. And strange to think he was once a sort of mate of oasis, like a prototype robbie williams or something. five years ago and the whole of the six-form were in love with him, now he's just wholly regarded as a twat, a shining wit gone the way of the whinning shit, i suppose. Such is the fickle nature of fame. Fame, fame , fatal fame.
