Sinister: She actually believes in haircuts!!!
hello, Yes, that is a rather meek opening. Tigerxdare@aol.com mentioned <<it was alovlely band called joan of arc well theres an Irish band called Joan of Arse. I'm glad to see some of ya have cheered up a bit, the next time any of this happens just imagine b&s covering Kenickie's 'Punka' or 'Kandy Pop' by Bis ,how fantastic would that be? Anyway may nothing but happiness come through your door(obligatory mogwai content) , what is the vocal part in that song? 'keep hope alive ' ,'please hold the line'? I saw a certain Mr' Colburn on the telly the other night - collecting another award this time with Snowpatrol , he was seen nattering away to David Holmes - a remix on the cards surely? As for that smiths cover version album I'm just glad that b&s aren't going to be on an album with the deftones. More b&s content - I saw the new looper video , its kinda like the beasties Intergalactic video but with a budget of £2.37 , actually in truth its a bit shit. Then again look at my subject line, anybody admit to recognising that lyric? better go hide now, seamus ps going to see Plaid tonight (which I've learned is pronounced pladd as opposed to played), Are they any good? Guess I'll find out. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the reborn Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail "sinister@majordomo.net". well theres an Irish band called Joan of Arse
Well that is obviously not the same band, Joan of Arc are from Chicago and have released one of this years most interesting albums, Live In Chicago, 1999 (no, not a live album). Actually, criticts has called Joan of Arc for Joan of Crap or Jocks of Arc (the later because they had a basketball in their tour van...). Anyone on this list loves Tim Kinsella's ex band caP'n Jazz? They are wonderful. I used to sing and played the horn in a band that covered their "Troubled By Insects" and "Rocky Rococo", under the name The Agents of the Secret Service, or as our concert posters said, the A.S.S., but when we got on stage we called ourselves the Twisted Buttfuckers. Oh it was all a joke though... Mostly rebelionship against the grunge and heavy metal kids that came to the gig who were all like fucked up when we got on stage with suits and a breifcase with the mic in (like the Blues Brothers) and put the mic so it pointed up in the air so two could sing in it... And in the background we Good Vibrations... I tell you, it was one of the most fun things I have ever done. A moment of pop star-hood.
