Frankly I've found it a blessing to read the posts from our NYC friends still euphoric over witnessing B&S in the flesh - compared to the bollox debate over which radio DJ is shit or not. Its the music that counts. I don't mind Peely playing shit techno,'cause I know he'll get round to playing something good or even fantastic at some point in the show, its like panning for gold. The same would go for Radcliffe and Lard if I could be bothered listening to sanitised mainstream breakfast radio. As for MES:
And when did half of you shysters start swooning to the B&S..[who I've got
naught against]..try post Dog On Wheels..
Peel is and will ever be a champion...sadsacks like some of you wouldn't know >if a musical note bit you on the arse
post Dog On Wheels my arse. Show your age man! This "I was into(insert band name here) before you / since their first single" attitude sucks a big one. Immature indie kids normally come out with statements as wise as yours, since they usually believe most fans of a band must be recent bandwagon jumpers. The fact that we're here 'debating' at all indicates we can tell exactly which note is biting us on the arse. B&S are probably the best band I've heard in the last two years. Their songs of awkwardness, emotions and the ordinary sharply contrast with most of the one-dimensional popstar-wannabes which choke up the 'Indie'(and increasingly mainstream) chart. Phew! sorry, I got carried away there. What a way to introduce myself. "and remember an egg is good for you!" ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
