Sinister: I know you will forgive me for my honesty
I've picked a silly busy day for my first ever post, I know, but I am brimming with frustration. Please forgive me for any exited rambling which follows. My newly purchased copy of Jonathan David rests teasingly in the CD Drive of my 'pooter, but I can't listen to it until 1pm when my ear will be free of the headset that teathers me to my job. (I have somehow managed to miss any radio plays).
RAH is just eleven days away and I have had to resort to giving my second ticket to my mate Simmy who's entire B & S knowledge consists of the fact that he "quite likes that tune from the titles to "Teachers" (TBWTAS) on channel 4". Ah well, just got back from a weeks holiday in Crete (too hot, not enough drizzle) and wore my red dotty B&S T shirt one night when my mates were 'on the pull' in Malia (Crete's own Ibiza apparently) - no-one recognised it. I feel like my old mates aren't who they used to be - or I'm not. It's not a nice feeling. Don't want to admit it, but am secretly (ish) pinning hopes on U guys to help me 'belong' again, there I go wearing desperation on my forehead again. The few sinisterines I've met so far were ace (May 24th, Sinister Fitba) , hello to you all esp. Mark Vicky, Chris, Martin.
Are there any other sinister civil servants or government workers out there? (actually, I know there are I cheated) Lets hear about you and what you do. Faceless bureaucrats shuffling papers for a living is fine eh? What with election and everything I don't know my MAFFs from my DEFRAs or my DETRs from my (ahem) elbow, and I'm supposed to advise the (frequently angry) great british public (bless 'em)!!
Neil Milton said......
"England 5 - 6 Scotland The Sinister International Football Match
The winning goal scored by the silky footwork (Oh, OK he toe poked it!) of one Alisdair Cook!"
Hopefully there'll be a second leg at the proposed Picnic the day after RAH. The England squad was obviously under strength due to overseas club commitments. If away goals count double lets pack the defence with big girls and go for the one nil.
Hoorah, it's now gone 1pm and I've got JD on repeat. The first time it played my headphones weren't plugged in fully and the were barely audible vocals under a swirl of instrumental, and It still sounded *grate* (I think that's the correct term around these parts).
Hope that was OK - hover....and....click
Hello and Bye bye
Ben
