From: "Jordi Trenzano i Vilar" <jordi-tv@olemail.com> Subject: Sinister: "All videos are vile...."
.... Said Morrissey at the 1984 NME Poll. But yesterday, at the spanish satellite tv 40 TV they showed "Is it wicked not to care ?".
Morrissey also said "all reggae is vile" - he is a notoriously devious, truculent and unreliable witness. Nice that Belle and Sebastian proved him wrong though. Blur tried to when he said that pop music was dying, but they fell flat on their fat faces. But I like them now - I'm very open-minded me. Now that Belle and Sebastian have shown him to be a liar and a cheat on the video score, I think they should follow it up with a classic reggae release just to stick the boot in. I read somewhere that Morrissey thinks Belle and Sebastian aren't 'hard enough', so I think he needs to be taught a lesson. I still haven't caught up with my digests, but did anyone else spot Sarah Martin as a contributor to today's crappy 'alternative top 100 albums' in The Guardian. 'Bryter Layter' at No.1 which is stupid because it should have been on the 'banned' list of records that are always banged on about in these lists. And to allow 'A Hard Day's Night' is daft too, especially when the album that always gets a slagging (Let it Be) is banned. Clueless fuckers, the Guardian. I wonder what Sarah voted for? I bet it was Crowded Hou ______________________________________________________ +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
