Sinister: gigligging
HELLO To the members of the Sinister List AND HELLO To all the non members of the Sinister List who are increasingly reading my posts. Does anyone else get this? I spose you do, but I find it quite, quite strange. Never mind, what was I going to talk about? Oh yes, MUSIC. If you are free tonite in Lahndahn I recommend you go and see The Vertical Smile at the Bull and Gate - featuring Amos from 'The Picnic' in an illustrious starring role. I say this cos I can't go. I have a prior engagement with some experimental disco goth metal opera at Dingwalls - all involving shellfish apparently. If you're there you'll see me either a - sober 'sighing and clapping politely' b - pissed 'bouncing about saying "yeaahh I get it now"'. Do YOU like being nasty to clams? Also on the 19th August a band called Rosita are playing at Club Panda in Kentish Town. I haven't heard a single note they have played but they feature Emmy Kate and Marie from Kenickie (ten points - go to the top of the class!) and are heavily influenced by The Shangri-Las (get a gold star and graduate with merit immediately!). So they will be good and I am hoping to go and see em. Anyone else fancy it? I LOVE The Shangri-Las!! Sigh Oh and I missed Hefner in the end, please don't say they were any cop PLUS Black Box Recorder are playing again soon. Now that Sarah Nixey is a lovely lass. She used to work in the very same office that I am ensconced in right now - and yes she was bored brainless too. Maybe I'll be an ice cool pop icon in a few months. It was cool when she was here - we kept getting faxes of lyrics from Mr Haines and phonecalls from various members of the Mary Chain. When I first heard 'Child Psychology' on Xfm I taped it and brought it into work and we played it constantly - that kept the clients at bay! Work is very dull at the moment, which is not really a problem - in the last two weeks I've got through glamorama, Anna Karenina and the Selected Poetry of John Donne. But yesterday they repossessed the water cooler, which was a bad thing indeed. You know who I'd also like to see live? Belle and Sebastian. Well, unfortunately that is not to be in the near future, but I will make up for that by going to Tigermilking on the 13th, which should be fantastic, but sweaty and sardinelike, surely? All the better for it, I say! Lots of love glampam xx *!!Now that's what I call enthusiastic!!* +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the reborn Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
