Pernice Brothers: Overcome by Happiness -between B&S and tindersticks??? well, kinda, sortof, not really. I would have to say its more like a good mix of Gerald Collier and Elliot Smith, lots of minor chords and overtwanged fender telecasters, throw in some piano and rather weak, yet pretty vocals. The orchestration they use never really integrates into the songs essentially like say in the Tindersticks, but instead kind of fills space in the background. I mean I kind of dig it- and I have that type of stuff (Collier, Elliot Smith, etc.) in my cd player alot- its just i find myself never really getting hooked by it. just a humble opinion. .scott ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
