Sinister: Slow Graffiti

I should be in bed asleep but I can't doze off. I feel like I should be up and doing things. Later I know I'm going to crash out and probably wake up at 11 pm having missed all the good shows on TV. When I got in from work I listened to the Slow Graffiti EP because I wanted to hear 'The Gate' and when Slow Graffiti came on I remembered that someone here said the song was used in The acid House to very moving effect. What I thought was this: I'll go out and try and get the film. Actually I took a detour into cafe Astoria and had a breakfast number 2; I eat far too much. It's odd but I always feel alot better in there. I think it's something to do with the way the sun shines in and the place is laid out. I hoped the girl who works there who looks like she might have red Indian blood in her that I sort of fancy might be serving, but she wasn't. After that I continued wandering down the high road and went in WHSmiths and Our Price and Woolworths but it wasn't these. I couldn't be fagged to go to Blockbuster Video. I ended up in Our Price and wanted to stay there all day when I saw the girl working there. I'm sure all girls who work in Our Price look like goths, really pretty goths. She had a pierced lip (her actual lip was pierced with a ring) but she was still gorgeous. But, anyway, I wanted to buy something to cheer myself up. The Our Price in Streatham high road is a bit rubbish though and I couldn't find anything I wanted. I ended up buying the new Pavement album for just over a tenner because I couldn't justify paying £15.99 for that Beth Orton album I've wanted to get for ages. Unfortunately I was served by the bloke. Oh well. I also got a Darth Maul mug which cheered me up as well. It has 'AT LAST WE WILL HAVE REVENGE!' on the back in capitals. Oh dear - I really have rambled on. Must be the effect of 'Slow Graffiti'. Unfortunately, the other song on the EP 'I know where the Summer goes' always reminds me of when I was in bed for a while suffering from Glandular Fever. I was in bed on my birthday as well unfortunately and I was just listening to the song over and over thinking '*I* know where the summer goes, I spend it in bed with the mother of all sore throats on my birthday' For what it's worth I think They Might Be Giants should be played on the radio show. I really like Birdhouse in your soul, Ana Ng, Santas Beard and Narrow your eyes. I'm sure They might be Giants must have a cult following somewhere. Also, how about playing the Eggs? I think some of their stuff is really great, especially A pit with spikes and The Government Administrator. Oh well, I should really stop typing and sleep. spritser +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the reborn Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
