Hey Kids! Big Mac, Filet-o-Fish, Quarter Pounder, French Fries Icy Coke, Thick Shake, Sundaes and Apple Pies Thank you, thank you all. Richard asked for suggestions for his Beach Boy doco - I suggest Roland Orzabal from Tears For Fears. He wrote the loveliest song, "Brian Wilson Said", which is - frankly - the only song I listen to on "Elemental". So sad, and so beautiful. Also, the Apples in Stereo have been compared with the BB a million and one times (exactly - I counted), so you might consider them. I know BB were largely influential for their music, too. Windy and Carl are the owners, I believe, of Aquarius Records, the same people who wrote the lovely Looper description I posted a few days ago. Not like that matters... As for RHP, I will consider myself the resident list expert, because I get all my info from Mark himself. The solo tour is first, which will probably be more acoustic instead of featuring different musicians. They're playing this Sunday in L.A. and next Thursday in S.F. The new album comes out November or December-ish, and there will be a full-band tour at that time. So this is kind of a warmup. If you have any other questions, e-mail me privately. Ezra mentioned Half String, and Tom mentioned the dB's. I love this list. :) Oh yeah, I went back to the archives and tried to dig up previously answered questions about "Rhoda", my favorite B&S song at the moment (thanks, Ed!). But no one really had an answer. Since no one knows when/if it will be released, does anyone at least have a good copy? Have we attempted lyrics on it yet? If you listen to the lyrics, you can plainly hear that Belle and Sebastian would endorse Special K cereal. And thank goodness I know the alternate meaning for "fag" (hint: it doesn't mean cigarette in America), or I'd be rolling prematurely in my grave. -Miss Erin +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
