Anyway, most sensible people will cut the tape in the middle of Electronic Renaiisance, so no damage done there.
oh, dear. i just can't take this. just as lesley jo will fiercly come to the defense of her beloved isobel, i feel i can no longer keep quiet at the abuse that Electronic Renaissance is taking. what is wrong with you popkids? can't you appreciate the pure synthesized beauty? the petshopboys-ness of it? the way struan's silvery vocals cut and shimmer and echo through layers of pure dance beats? sheesh! i cue my tape up so that E.R. is the first song when i go for a drive... *sigh* i suppose i can't convince you all... anyway, i have not received my tigermilk yet. ordered it from jeepsta, i did. even though i knew it'd be quicker to buy it at tower or some such corporate monster here in newyork... i like foreign post! but i will never give up my crappy tape -- first off, it has catpower and the sonora pine on the second side. also, what if i don't like tigermilk when i can actually hear the music? you know, something like, "i liked the state i am in better when i thought there was no guitar for the first half".... ah, and speaking of the gentle waves -- and i Was, so there! -- i finally heard it, thanks to kimmy (kiss kiss, darling!). and, as i have been telling all who care to listen, they are indeed gentle and wavy. standouts are the first track (hangman something or other), weathershow, and that mathiew song. but jeez -- if i'd heard the weathershow single and then bought the album, i'd be kind of weirded out. like, i was sort of napping on the train to work yesterday, listening to the album, all tree lullabyes and such -- and boom! jarred awake by weathershow. messed with my head quite a bit. okay, you lot. i'm being firm: no more ragging on Electronic Renaissance, a'ight? or i'll come get sinister on ya... xoxo, marie, in ohio in spirit, and still looperticket-less. === ************************************************************** * "I was a proper snob in college, as only a * * future lifetime English major can be" - b. glass (j.d.s.) * ************************************************************** "to me she was just marie." -mersault. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
