Sinister: rebelious jukebox (yeah!)
the melody make today has a list of b&s's favourite lps with a short write-up of each done by the band member who chose them... beatles, beastie boys, nick cave, orange juice (twice), phil spector, teenage fanclub... and a new picture of chris reading about malcolm x ('no skulldugery, no flim-flam...') the nme has the following in it's tour news: belle & sebastian manchester town hall (december 27 and 28) which i thought was kinda terse... oh, has anyone got their tickets from foundation yet? it's a couple of days away from me starting to worry but some reassurance would be good... and why is the list so quiet recently? is it because we're all strung out on irc? i didn't get home until 11 last night with all the chatting... it's a strange thing. kids, just say no. andy ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . Well mine finally arrived this morning, so don't panic just yet! (I've got tickets!!! Ooh, I'm getting all excited...)

I was out at a Shane Magowen gig last night, so any chance of a resume? How did it go etc? Or have we all been deserted by people in the chat room? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . This message was brought to you by the Sinister mailing list. . Chat stuff: there's a log of last night's chat and (for Klas and others) instructions for software etc. at: http://www.majordomo.net/sinister/#chat General verdict was (I hope - more comments to me) that it looked mad but actually worked reasonably well. David and Katrina stood in for the band, and answered questions for the Fan Club/Jeepster and did a sterling job. Anyone who's missing out - don't! i wanted to thank everyone who responded to my frenzied cries for help about the chat stuff. i did finally work it out and had a lovely (tho short) conversation with john from milwaukee, rachel from nyc and nicholas from greece (hi kids). i did not catch the 9 o'clock chat, so i hope i didn't miss the discovery of cold fusion or anything. love, laurel ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . Hi everyone! Barry from Foundation posted all the tickets yesterday, so if you don't have yours by last post on Friday, phone me at Jeepster (0181 964 9432) or david & i at home (0181 560 1815) and i'll chase it up with Barry. Also, it is nearly 100% confirmed that B&S are going to perform a matinee performance on the Sunday at Manchester, so the meet-up will probably on the Saturday instead. More info on tickets etc. will come tomorrow as i get it. That's it! Cheers, Katrina. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
