Sinister: Nostalgia ain't what it used to be

Hmmm, I can't say I see any similarities between the two whatsoever, although no doubt some reviewer out there has also mentioned VU in terms of Acetone because they do in reference to 80% of the music in my collection. Acetone sound a bit country, sort of slow and sad and pretty. They're one of those bands that I fully expected to grab me and drag me gloriously under, but when I listened to them not much happened. It's like how some people can be just perfect for you in a textbook way, except for the fact that you're not at all in love with them. So anyway, I think Acetone is a talented band, and I did mildly enjoy their last s/t release, but then forgot I had it until I read your post. I haven't seen them live, and I don't know you well enough to say what you'd think of them, but just don't go early based on that B & S mention. - Nicole . . . . n i c o l i n a @ d r i z z l e . c o m . . . . i've concluded once again that i'm too fickle for a signature file. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . I've also heard Lullaby for the Working Class described as the "American Belle and Sebastian," though I've yet to hear anything by them keith ****************************************************************************** Keith Berman kberman@mason.gmu.edu http://mason.gmu.edu/~kberman "Keep cool, but don't freeze" --Helmans Mayo ****************************************************************************** ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
