Pierre, The High went all grungy, totally changing their sound (unnecessarily, as they were never really part of a 'scene') then vanished). Don't know about East River Pipe - I liked them as well. The La's split up, but the bassist is now the singer with Cast. In the US, mention there she goes and the response is usually "yes, that great song by the Boo Radleys" as apparently they covered it on a film soundtrack or something.
