Sinister: The tears are welling in my eyes again...
The subject is a Nick Cave quote, and in no way relates to this post. Well... Lola wrote: i have been very embarassing yesterday, i cried at a public place. The last time I cried in public was in a nightclub. I then cried in the kebab shop afterwards. It's a good way to discover who your friends really are. CarsmileSteve wrote: There was much dancing and possibly even more flirting (don't mention the mell st curse) Why? What'll happen to me if I do? MELL ST CURSE! (Hang on, what am I doing? I don't even know what this curse is.) Anyone care to explain what the Mell St curse is? Astrid wrote: IŽve been thinking of when i have kids, which I hope I will some day. I was imagining me driving my kids to school, and I would sit there, listening to B&S, and my kids would go "MUM, please, not ben and sebastian again!" "Belle and Sebastian, theyŽre called Belle and Sebastian. And whatŽs wrong with them? TheyŽre grate" "NO; theyŽre horrible, turn it off, itŽs rubbish. I HATE Belle and Sebastian!!!!!" "You know you donŽt mean that!" "Yes I do, theyŽre just stupid cardigan clad people who made music for other outcasts and geeks and people who wear cardigans!" "ItŽs my car, IŽll decide what we are going to listen to!" *Sings along to Le pastie de la bourgeoise, and canŽt do it very well* *Kid sulks* I've already decided that my kids WILL like B&S. And Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. She also wrote: I mean, think about it. What kind of world would it be if your kids would think "being a rebel" or just making your parents angry, would be listening to S Club 7 or Steps or something like that. Ahhh! I get all panicked thinking of it. I know there will be one day when I come to realise that my kids think of me as a nerd who listens to nerdy popmusic. God only knows what my kids will have to do to rebel. As I'm quite easy going, they would have to become cavepeople or something. And: P.S Anyone ever thought of naming their kids after something B&S, or just with like a favourite caracter in a book or a writer or a person in a movie or something. Or is it just me being sick? Take care. That's cruel. Actually, in that case... If you go to http://www.h2g2.com there is a guide entry on how not to name your kids. Take care. Will Spike == "There's no demon in there. It's just a family legend, am I right? Just a bit of spin to keep the ladies in line? You're a piece of work. I like you."
