Thos of you who remember U2's song "One Tree Hill" will no doubt be disappointed to hear that the tree, long an icon of Auckland, New Zealand, will be cut down tomorrow. The tree has in recent years been attacked twice by protesters wielding chainsaws and is dying. Authorities in Auckland have the view that it is no longer safe. Maungakiekie, (the Maori name for the area), Aotearoa (New Zealand) and the world will be the less for it. -- Ian W Halliday, BA Hons, MIMIS, AAIBF Snr, ANZCS, ATMB, CL +64 25 245 6089 http://www.baptism.co.nz Excel in all we do +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the undead Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail sinister@missprint.org.
