RE: Sinister: I'm gonna love you anyhow
Slow Graffiti is rather gorgeous though isn't it? Now that it's finally recorded 'properly'.
I have to say I was very disappointed in the studio version of Slow Graffiti. The production on it is terrible, and Stuart hit's a few bad keys. It also sounds really bad when the band kicks in. I don't know what everyone else thinks, but I don't think it's the best track to put on a compilation (it will not get B&S many new fans). I'd much rather listen to the sessions version. Sorry, I think this is the first time I've ever been disappointed with something B&S have made. I was listening to Tigermilk this morning for the first time in a while, and I have to say that, IMHO, it's still the best thing B&S have done. I've got a feeling that when it's re-released, the music press will proclaim it a classic. oh, i forgot to tell people that there are actually TWO versions of Slow Graffiti (apart from the sessions versions). The version on "The Acid House" is sans horns, but the version on the "This Is Just A Modern Rock Song" EP is with horns ... ... just for the collectors i 'spose. one day i'll actually post without spouting boring information, sorry to all you who may be interested in what i really have to say ... (ie none of you according the the bloody list crush ... thanks reid for your kind words anyway *sigh* ... not even bloody kitchenboy voted for me ... the wedding is OFF!) bye bye and see lots of you (hopefully) at the Salako gig tonight. cheers, Katrina. -- ************************************************************************ jeepster recordings ltd. - mailto:a-and-r@jeepster.co.uk 217 canalot, 222 kensal road, london, w10 5bn, uk phone - 0181 964 9432, fax - 0181 964 8600 http://www.jeepster.co.uk +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
