Hello on cold Monday! (at least in the East Midlands) Genevieve said she had no reasons to think Evan Dando was a dork,as she had never met him.I did once, and he is , of course, he is ! My boyfriend those days (beginning of 1997) was a big fan of his and went to see him in Madrid.Later,I met him with other friends in a bar (if there is someone from Madrid reading,at the Tupperware,exactly)and Evan just popped in with some other blokes from his band,roadies,girlfriend and so on.My boyfriend was craving for his autograph but he was too shy to go and chat him up,so my friend and I did.He was really stupid,signed something very vaguely on his concert ticket,and them mumbled it was his real signature,showing his NHS card and Gold Visa one to prove it when my friend complained at seeing his lazy handwriting... The only good thing was that the lad with him who told me I was the most beautiful girl he had seen in years and he would like to talk to me , to have a drink and so on, and he looked quite cute,by the way.My boyfriend didn't like this project too much as you can understand,can't you? He was the bassist from You am I ,they had been supporting the Lemonheads that night.It is my only brush of fame in life! So,I have some reason to agree he is a twat.I just met another famous people after concerts and they were normal, even when I didn't like them very much before,for example,John Squire.Others were just lovely,like Jonathan from the Pastels.It's true all the Pastels songs have something in common,but it doesn't make them despisable,very much on the contrary,reinforcing their 'homely' charm. What about Haircut 100? I have no clue about their music,procedence...etc.Just read some remark about them within an article devoted to The Legendary Jim Ruiz Band. NO Bellie content..sorry !
