Things not to do: When conducting a thorough hoovering of one's bedroom, DO NOT be tempted to lift the nozzle up to the top of your stereo as a dusting shortcut. I tried this lazy man's trick yesterday and to my utter horror suddenly saw the tape from one of the cassettes piled on top FLY up the tube and then SNAP from the strain. There were lots of cassettes there, but it had to be the most precious one of all: an immaculate recording of Beat Patrol made for me by someone kinder than Kind Dog. <Sniff> If only I took better care of my most treasured possessions.
