1. Belle And Sebastian 2. Hefner 3. The Delgados 4. Arab Strap plenty of other great stuff this year but these ones mattered a lot. still hoping for a late contender in the new Bitter Springs album, but havent heard it yet. The Michael Head/Strands LP is very folky in a medeivael sort of way, with very olde world lyrics. takes a bit of getting used to but is quite special anyway. not as good as some of his older stuff, according to certain people who are just trying to show they know more than me. which they do of course, as always. heard TIJAMRS on John Peel last night, first impressions is that it is much more downbeat and maudlin than the Radcliffe session version, which i thought was quite triumphant sounding in a LLPJ sort of way, if that makes sense. still, nice to see another NME single of the week. from tjohn +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
