Sinister: sinister: le pastie
hello all, first time post [bashful backwards step] from Boston ... I think belle, sebastian and the lot are brilliant and I own everything I can get my hands on and can't keep in the blank tapes fast enough to dub them for my friends (who coincidentally all run out and buy everything on CD or vinyl or both so how's that for paying the band back?) but one thing I just can't figure out is .... what the hell does "le pastie" mean? And while we're on that song, I think it's amazing that he can make so many cultural/pop references (Judy Blume et al) and get away w/o sounding like a wee pretentious git. I think that's a first. Okay, back to the day job.
