Sinister: you can't hide your love forever (again)
OK, this information i know about the show. it was on Tuesday December 2nd in Glasgow at the 13th Note. An AIDS benefit gig, with a covers set from the Pastels, Belle and Sebastian, and Eugenius. The Beck song is not really a Beck song but Beck covering Johnny Cash, so that would mean Belle and Sebastian were covering Johnny Cash. hmmm, well if any one have heard it, more info would be cool. There was also a night at the 13th Note two Decembers ago where >>they did a set of 5 covers - a Beck song sung by Richard, a Curtis >>Mayfield song (Stevie), "I've got something on my mind" by ye Lefte >>Banke (sung by Disco Stu), "You trip me up" by the Jesus and Mary >>Chain (Sarah singing) and Orange Juice's "In a nutshell" (Isobel).
yeah you are defiantly right, i got a tape of In A Nutshell (wonderful tune by the way) from that show. quite noisy but really cool. if anyone has the other songs from that session on tape, please do not hesitate to contact me, it would be so thrilling to hear Sarah Martin sing :-)

Hello Sinisterines, Still talking about covers and Beck... I don't want to confuse but maybe it was a Beck song. I mean, Johnny Cash did a Beck song on his last album so, maybe, the Beck song IS a Beck song and Johnny Cash was covering Beck, so that would mean Belle and Sebastian were covering Beck. (Ok, I'm puzzled) Oh, and the song is called Rowboat. And this is just my opinion. I haven't heard the Belle version. Love, Gui PS - This Johnny Cash album is great. It's called Unchained and has some covers from Soundgarden to Spain! It's not a covers album though. lover plays the bass wrote:
