well, i've never been any good at explaining what it is i like about bands, so as usual it has all deteriorated into haircuts, beards and funny names, ah well... Urusei Yatsura - are ace. have seen them several times live and can't see what you hate about them. 'Big tall guy' Fergus has a class haircut and is a honey. except from when he hit me on the head with a mic stand. but that's just what i think... Arab Strap - ok, so they are a bit overrated, i'll give you that. but some of their stuff is pretty class, after it gets going. although they do have beards. which is crap. Idlewild - haven't seen them live, but on record they are great and shouty and loud and make great jump-up-and-down-and-be-sick to records. and they have funny names. Roddy Woomble hehehe. BMX Bandits - Are you sure they are actually 'credible'? i've yet to meet someone who likes the BMX Bandits. They seem to be 'famous' (and i use the term loosely) only for knowing Teenage Fanclub and for Duglas being Radcliffe's Scottish correspondant for a while. The only song i remember of theirs is that one a couple of years ago where he sounds exactly like kermit the frog. it was quite nice, actually... The Secret Goldfish - their cover of 'Come As You Are' was GORGEOUS. I think they're lovely. And Graham Lironi's book 'The Bowels of Christ' is dead good. everyone should read it. NOW! Mogwai - Sonic Youth aren't irritating. they're class. as are Mogwai. Tho i still haven't heard the new single. Ah well.
