Sinister: beer on the beach with a certain mr jackson (scarborough gig)
hello, well, we just got back from scarborough, and what a night we've had! first of all, what a gig. (our) Stuart keeps saying that they must have been practicing, because they're really really good live now. but what was funny was that stevie's voice was going so in the request section, they got members of the audience to sing a song (summer holiday) instead of them. oh and there was a mental american woman, who danced on stage with them, who actually asked if struan's name was simon, not sure if it was a joke or not. and struan slagged off limp bizkit, which is fair enough, because they're shite. and everyone was literally dancing in the aisles. but the best bit about the whole night came after the gig had finished, when we were hanging around outside the futurist waiting for our coach back home. some silly people had gone to the pub, but we stuck around, just in case. it all started when Chris spotted beanz and went and got his autograph. there was a group of people singing get me away from here outside, and then struan was standing just outside the venue listening to them. Chris, Jo and Gina swoopped in for the kill, and then we all followed struan onto the beach, where he was mobbed by hundreds of (well quite a few) fans, some of whom were surprisingly wet. he was *lovely* to everyone, even the girl who brought her entire family with her. and then we saw isobel, and then the rest of the band. but really the highlight of the night (other than meeting struan of course) was when stevie, richard and bob were sitting by the sea preparing to get drunk and bob offered me and stuart a beer (which we accepted) and then stevie told us to sit down, and so we sat on the sand drinking beer and making light conversation with members of our all time favourite band. and they were really nice too, although stevie was a bit quiet. stevie says: soundtrack album more like a mini album/ep, tour of europe likely end of this year/next year, confusion about what single will be, whether it will happen. i also told him to tell struan to look out for foxes at the albert hall, because i saw one there once. he said it was a pity it wasn't winter. we thought you'd like to know, pip pip, Stuart & Feather Boa _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail sinister@missprint.org.
