Sinister: Don't go past '67 for France!
Just a caveat. I can't stand any of the '68-onward material...it certainly ain't pop music by any stretch of the imagination. Any compilation featuring the following songs will most likely be great because everything from '63 (I think?) to '67 is excellent perky pop..."Laisse Tomber Les Filles," "Baby Pop," "Poupee De Cire Poupee De Son," "Les Sucettes," and maybe "Teenie Weenie Boppie." If you ask me, and you didn't, my favorite songs are "Un Fille D'un Garcon," "Laisse...", "Christiansen," "La Guerre Des Chanson," "La Rose Des Vents"....I have the boxed set (also called _Poupee De Cire Poupee De Son_) which has around 64 songs....and I still need more. She sang in seven other languages or something too. If we had more France Galls, we'd have less wars, maybe.
