This is one of me standing outside the Gap in San Francisco waiting for Susan. I'm wearing a stiff new dress shirt and old jeans I used to think were too tight. I used to hate wearing tight clothes because I thought they made me look too skinny. Susan is very fashionable, in both clothes and lateness. I really like her. I hadn't seen her all summer, and she called me out of the blue to see Supergrass. I'd barely even heard them before. I feel plain, unhip, but happy. I see her, and she's wearing beautiful shoes.
