Hello foxes, in snow and out. I just thought I'd share the information that I got yesterday from the uncharacteristically kindly folks at the historic 40 Watt. But I would like to send out tons of hippie "thank you" vibes to the people who sent me ticket info, especially Roberta, who always seems to come through for me. She'll save my life one day, I don't doubt... Sweet Amy (she was really nice) at the 40 Watt told me that the folks at Wuxtry were dead wrong about being able to order tickets by credit-card (they like to lie at Wuxtry). They'll only sell out-of-town tickets by money order (and then they send the tickets to you). BUT, Amy was reluctant to even let me do it since "it was so close to the show". She also told me that they've sold about half of the tickets and they expect to be sold out well before the show. SO...if you're thinking of getting tickets via mail, you'd best call real soon (706-549-7871). As in, today or Monday. If you're close enough to Athens to drive there (if I couldn't get them by mail, I was going to take the 6 hour road trip), they're still selling them in exchange for C.A.S.H. at Wuxtry and Big Shot. By the way, I'm all kinds of up for an after-show meet up at one of the bars around town. Unless the show is on the 40 Watt's notoriously late shedule, which means they should be done around 2 am, and so bars may not be an option. But there's always the Grill. Good ol' Athens. I can't wait to get back. I noticed on the meet-up board that there are more than a few people coming from NC. Any other Tarheel listees? Why the hell aren't they playing at the Cat's Cradle if there are so many of us?! Next time...
