Sinister: Mr. Simpson, please do not offer my god a peanut!
Hi guys, most of you won't have a damn clue who I am, but I thought that after being accused <grin> of being a lurker on the list, I would show my face and reply to a couple of emails recently sent. Firstly, if I remeber correctly, it's generally a good idea to have a bit of B+S content in emails so here goes... Has anyone seen the piano book for FISHYCLAPS (or is that term outdated now and I have to type the oh-so-boring FYHCYWLAP) and does anyone know if there is a guitar tab book? Also, on the official website there is talk of a guitar tab book with EVERY B+S song in it. Has that idea been scrapped, and the FISHYCLAPS book taken its place, or is that book still likely to be released. The reason I'm asking is that even though Troika (my 1st Band) is a little too punky to play B+S songs as surprise covers at gigs, I'm thinking of starting a rather twee 'side project' (oh, very muso!!!!) called 'the cupcakes' or some other intensely twee name, and we'll play some b+S songs at gigs. Can anyone help? Anyway, moving on... I'm gutted that Jason has left us... I know he says he won't but I bet he comes back one day... I'll send a virtual wink whenever he does :o) A really true friend who doesn't have any hidden agenda like a couple of my other so-called-friends... You Know Who You Are!!!! (although none of them are on this list so the last comment was a bit pointless!) HAPPY BIRTHDAY.... to both Andy (our singer), Paul (our Drummer) and belatedly (although I spent most of her birthday with her) to Amy Jackson!!!!! Yes Idlewild was excellent!!! In both Aberdeen and Glasgow! YOU JUST HAVE TO BE WHO YOU ARE!!!!!! OK... Troika... Thank you to both Amy and Jason for publicly praising my band. To explain a bit about us... We are melodic, punky, alternative, fresh, and fun! To date we have been compared to the following bands... Idlewild, R.E.M., The flaming lips, The Gang of Four, Joy Division, Mogwai, At the Drive In, Radiohead, The Delgados, and Seafood. If anyone is at all interested we have a website you can visit.. Http://www.troikaonline.co.uk where you can find out more... Ok, just a couple of hellos to finish off... to the following... Hello, it was nice to meet you, email me anytime... *JenOwl *the bloke she was with in Flip (sorry mate, names!!! tsk tsk tsk) *Ian Radcliffe *Ally Cook To the following... Hi, lots of love, c ya soon... *Amy Jackson *Sweetie *Jason (if he hasn't deserted us yet!) last words of the day... Read Alisdair Gray's Lanark. It is outstanding!!!! Simpsons Quote of the day... Mr Burns: I think you should leave. Immediately! Homer: Or What? You'll release the dogs? Or the bees? Or the dogs with bees in their mouths, and when they open their mouths they shoot bees at you! thanks for reading, cheers, Neil.x.x. ===== "he has no idea where he's at or where he's been."
