hello lovesick sinisterines... im just coming out of the woodwork for the second time to wish everyone a valentines day. are you all curled up with your kafka, staring wistfully into space, constructing the perfect conversation to have with a sensitive cardie- wearer who must be out there out there somewhere...? oh well, i am, anyways. i am quite sure now, that the IYFS cover is a picture of valentines day. it must be. there's a radio station here whose having a special v-day program of classic 60s lusty french pop...france gall, francoise hardy and that. an hour of hot sexy breathy purrrring to really put me in the mood. except its just me and the computer here so all this frrrench is just making me *sigh.* i guess this is maybe a lesley jo moment- the france gall and the sighing, i mean. i remember when i used to like this day... the fervor with which i cut and pasted...the joy of sprinkling glitter on the elmers glue-drawn hearts...the delight of having a shoebox full of 32 little white envelopes and red-hots. when did i become so cynical? has anyone else found themselves wandering down the valentine isle at save-on, scowling at all the cheesy crepe paper decorations, and pink plastic packaging, thinking, "damn russell stover! damn doilies!" anyone? come on people lets see those hands! oh. alright. i think i'll get back to my woodwork now. xo, branwyne *ultraviolet* ps...i thought i would mention...if anyone around los angeles is looking for thisisjustamodernrocksong on vinyl- they had a couple at melrose music. nine dollars, i think. +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
