I think her collection of books was seminal in any girl living in the US (I can't speak for abroad) in the early-to-mid-80s. Was "Then Again Maybe I Won't" as big a deal for guys? Anyway...I haven't heard the new EP, but I just wanted to step in in Judy's defense.

Doesn't anyone in England read any Blume? In Holland no-one's heard of her, but I can't think of any Dutch writer who is so in touch with modern youth. And Blume's books were written in the seventies and they're still not old-fashioned! Ninette
